Rare Vintage Gruen Autowind Mens Watch Automatic 17 Jewels 731CD Swiss Movement. Case size width is 35mm across not including the crown. Caseback is in excellent condition and is marked with "Gruen Automatic Stainless Steel Case". Original 731 CD automatic movement is running well but would recommend having the watch serviced. Beautiful bold dark red day indicator and black date indicator.
Acrylic crystal is in excellent condition with no cracks or scratches. Original silver grey dial with raised markers is in outstanding condition with only light fading and dial rub to the "s" on the jewels lettering.Overall it is beautiful with signs of aging and patina on both dial and hands. Case is in excellent condition with minor scratches. Supplied with a lovely new black leather strap.
Not checked for water resistance and should be serviced as service history is unknown. As this is a vintage watch I cannot guarantee timekeeping although it runs well and appears to keep good time.
