OFFERED FOR SALE TODAY IS THIS BEAUTIFUL 1950 TOP QUALITY GENUINE INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO SOLID 9 CARAT GOLD CALIBER 422 MANS WRISTWATCH WITH A RARE LUMED DIAL. This a very nice SOLID 9 CARAT YELLOW GOLD snap back good quality ROUND shaped case. The case is in nice condition showing some age related wear moreover to the case back which has some pin head dings and marks but nothing which detriments the watch when on the wrist. The case back snaps'to' as it should. The case back is NOT engraved or personalised with any initials. I have polished the case and it is shining nicely as only solid gold can. The inside of the case back is FULLY signed by DS&S (David Shackman & Sons who were the British case makers for all of the top brand watches at this time) and is marked with FULL hall marks for 9 carat gold dating the watch to London 1950.

THE WATCH MEASURES 3.3 CMS (33mm) IN WIDTH AND LENGTH EXCLUDING THE CROWN AND stunning EXTENDED LUGS. This gorgeous IWC watch has a fantastic and gorgeous totally original black dial with golden lumed hour markers and lumed Arabic quarter hour markers. The minute marks are gold. It is in fabulous condition for its age.

It is FULLY SIGNED in a beautiful gold typesetting The crystal is plastic and shows only light wear. The dial has a set of gold colored hands which are in excellent condition.

This is a really fantastic dial. This is a beautiful Swiss top quality original fully IWC signed crown wind and set calibre 422 genuine movement. This beautiful movement is in working order. It winds smoothly and sets as it should.

This lovely movement has been timed and oiled by my watch maker. The watch keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period to within approx a minute per day.

As always a full service would be recommended for optimum performance and timekeeping. This beautiful IWC Cal 422 movement exudes quality and is a high end product. This stunning watch is fitted with a lovely brand new black leather 16mm generic (not IWC) band which is complete with a gold tone buckle.
