Beautiful modern design mantel clock from the 50s-60s by renowned Swiss watch and clock maker LeCoultre. Elegant design with black background and clear front with gilded bronze. 8 x 7 x 2, no chips or cracks.
Classic gold hour markers and chapter ring. The unique artistic technique presents a 3 dimensional effect with angel fish, plant, bubbles, and the dial itself. There is some crazing effect on the bottom below the fish, appears to be inside. Without flash, much less noticeable.
Examine photos as part of description. 8 day time only inline movement, easy winding and setting from the back. LeCoultre 16 Jewels Unadjusted on front of movement. The last week it's run 0-2 minutes fast on various days. Research indicates Jaeger and LeCoultre companies merged as Jaeger-LeCoultre in the late 1930's, LeCoultre the older firm.A beautiful and fully working quality clock, hard to find model.
