Rare Swiss Staybrite steel 16mm opening vintage watch strap buckle NOS 1940s/50s

Great early vintage watch styling to this buckle, with nice angles. Has the most common 16mm wide inner opening where it attaches to the strap.

Will fit on unpadded vintage straps. Stamped Staybrite Swiss BTE-PAT on back. Difficult item to find in New Old Stock. This is an NOS watch vintage 16mm opening watchband buckle from around the 1940s/50s.

Buckle opening size of 16mm, the most common watchband buckles size, so it will fit many vintage or newly made straps. Often these are leather straps with 16mm 18mm 19mm 20mm or 22mm lug end sizes. Top to bottom clearance through the buckle is just 6.5mm so this will work with flat or unpadded style straps, not padded thicker bands.
