This rare chronograph was made in Switzerland at the end of 1930s. Back then Venus SA produced a lot of interesting chronograph movements such as cal 130, 140 and 170. These movements were made in mediocre quality and offered at affordable prices.

As these watches were certainly not designed to last a century it is rare to find a fully functional example nowadays. This timepiece shall be treated with due respect. Our professional watchmaker has serviced the movement (no parts was replaced), cleaned and oiled it. The chronograph starts, stops and resets to zero correctly, but the base movement still gains 20-30 sec/day.

The 33 mm wide case is chromium-plated and was never refurbished, it is still in original condition. The dial is completely original and beautifully aged. All registers are clearly readable. Hands are made of blued steel and are also original. Please do not try to replace them at home! The stems of the central second and minute counter are really long and thin, these can be easily damaged. The watch comes on a brand new navy-blue NATO strap and in an unbranded watch box. This watch is not waterproof and not shockproof. One shall wear a watch like this just like one would drive a Ford T- model. If you know how to handle them, you can enjoy the special feeling they provide, but you would not expect modern day performance. Again: ONLY for seasoned collectors and for PROFESSIONALS who have much experience with antique timepieces.
